Third Week in February

Monday, 19 February 2018

The best part of my week was probably my afternoon out to IKEA. I’m still working my way through the Daim cake my mum and I picked up on our way home too. It's like this thin layered cake with Daim bar chunks on the outside all coated in chocolate. It's sold by the slice in IKEA's cafeteria but the take home one is frozen. I’m not sure if I’ve been defrosting it right but it tastes amazing.

IKEA haul

(They sell it at Tesco and Sainsbury's for £3 - Supermarkets here in the UK - and I had no idea wow)

I picked up Places + Faces (vol. 2) magazine this week which I have been meaning to buy for ages. I stopped off at Wardour News near Piccadilly Circus after class on Wednesday to pick it up alongside a packet of gum. It was £15 I think? or maybe £12. I still need to look at it properly so hopefully I will find the time tomorrow.

I also saw Em briefly again this week which was nice, had a full day of university on Thursday and went to see the MA Media Communication and Performance show at OXO Tower which was really good. It was a display of all the work by students in the year above me who had just finished their Masters. Fashion Photography, Fashion Journalism, Fashion Curation, Fashion Media Production that sort of thing. It was only on for 4 days so it has now unfortunately finished. I do however want to go to the newly opened Hayward Gallery near Waterloo Bridge... maybe I will this week.
