Second Week in February

Monday, 12 February 2018

I can’t believe how fast February is flying by. I’m welcoming Pancake Day with open arms (it's Shrove Tuesday tomorrow) and bypassing Valentine’s Day altogether in the week ahead. Each day I've been trying to jot down what I’ve been up to so that when I came to write this summary it was more cohesive and interesting. Alas, I only managed to do that on Wednesday.

I had my first group meeting at university for an upcoming collaborative project. After that, I decided to push the limits of my wardrobe and try on a pair of chequered trousers I had seen a few hours previously in a window of Forever 21. I haven’t been in this store for many, many years or bought anything from them in a considerable amount of time. The changing room I was offered had a broken light and all in all it was an experience I won't be repeating. I left empty-handed.

This was then followed by the decision to head to a different uni campus which had an art shop. I got partially lost en route after leaving the tube at Liverpool Street Station and walking around in circles for 10 minutes. I eventually found my destination and bought a few new supplies that I needed. I do love art shops and I’ll probably be back there next week after class. As I was in Shoreditch I wandered over to Artwords Bookshop to pick up the latest Hypbeast issue (for £12) with Virgil Alboh on the cover. I was also conveniently close to Sans Pere which you guys know is my favouriteeeee and I stopped off there for some lunch.

I’ve seen Em this week too, been to Camden for the first time in forever, bought a new top from ASOS Marketplace, had lunch at Pizza Pilgrims with my older brother, and started a whole new research project.
