Right now (I’m just writing this on a Sunday night whilst watching the Super Bowl) I feel like I’ve done nothing for seven days when I’ve actually had quite a hectic beginning to the month.
I managed to see Emily this week after not seeing her since last year. That makes it sound like its been 10 months when really we had lunch together right before Christmas. I stayed at her place in London and we went to Pizza Express for dinner on Wednesday night - I always think it’s an absolute steal that you can get a starter, main and dessert for £13.95. Obviously it’s restricted and not the entire menu, but still, 3 courses for £13.95. We went to a coffee shop the following day (Vanilla Black, photos above) to finish off some work and I’ve eaten so many poached eggs recently I think I need to take a break.
It was Postgrad Employability and Enterprise Week at university which allowed me to attend some really rewarding and inspirational lectures that I’m very grateful for. When I’m London all day one of my favourite spots to get lunch is Whole Foods near Piccadilly Circus. I go there because it's £3.50 for a slice of really good pizza. They usually give out free samples of food too, sometimes salami or something as equally yum but before Christmas, they were offering up mini chunks of pumpkin pie! Ermm, yes!!
Extra Stuff
I’m trying to read a different magazine each week and I picked up The New Yorker on my way home on Thursday
Stayed up to watch some YouTube videos on the best photo editing apps. I ended up downloading 8mm, InShot, Filmborn and PicsArt (definitely recommend 8mm for videos)
I might go to B&Q (a DIY store in the UK) and buy some paint to make the noticeboard in my room match all the other furniture. Hmmm.
