Last night I went for dinner at a little restaurant in Borough Market called Padella with my best friend Emily and her two flatmates, Sydney and Ilaria. I’ve never been before but oh my god, it was so good. The portion sizes are perfect and the pasta is all freshly made.
We had to queue for about 20 minutes outside as it busier than we anticipated - we even arrived at around 5:30pm and people were already waiting! It was definitely worth the wait however and we got a nice little corner table downstairs. The restaurant is on two levels and fairly small on the inside, but there are loads of tables and places to sit at the bar and outside.
As a starter we decided to share the Padella sourdough bread and burrata (Italian cheese) which was so yummy. As a cheese lover this was a great choice. Everyone else had eaten there for dinner before so they chose this starter and i'm so glad they did! After much deliberation and even though there wasn't much to choose from, I had the pappardelle with sausage and fennel ragu for my main. It wasn't heavy at all and the portion size was just the right amount - so tasty. I can't remember what everyone else had, but Em ordered the fettuccine carbonara which was super light and yummy - I only know this because I pinched a bit of her food!
I spent about £14 including the service charge. We shared tap water which they regularly refilled on the table so we didn't pay for any drinks. For a starter and main i'd say that's reasonably priced for dinner in London! If you want to go somewhere for delicious pasta, a great environment, great service and just a good time I can't recommend this place enough! Be prepared to queue for your pasta as you can't book a table!

I thought I'd just put together a small collection of a few things I have my eye on for Autumn. There's a big temperate change between here and Edinburgh, so it's exciting and challenging developing my wardrobe now that i'm back home. I'm actually really struggling with dressing for London. I tend to be freezing in the morning waiting for the train, and then boiling when i'm on the tube or rushing through the city for lectures. I usually find myself carrying my coat by the end of the day, therefore i'm all about layers right now. Anything lightweight I can chuck in my bag for later is a go to.
On a regular day I could be wearing jeans, a t-shirt tucked in, a big jacket, trainers and just have a backpack or a tote bag with whatever I need in for the day.
Wardrobe essentials to always have: white, grey and black t-shirts in a sort of boxy oversized fit, I usually go for men's t-shirts so they have less of a structured look. If you size up a little too then they can be worn tucked in or loose.

I really should've got a photo of what I was wearing this day, but it was basically the same as I always wear! I was super in awe when I got inside at 180 The Strand so I barely took any photos (sorry) - however I wanted to share with you guys the little publication that was on all the stands and the tote bag I got too! A few of the others on my course went to the last of the catwalk shows which I unfortunately missed - ok sorry this was my first fashion week! I'll do better next year I promise.
As Tuesday was the last day, I can confirm that there wasn't actually a huge amount to see. There were a handful of photographers and a few people floating around outside but not the hubbub of models and IT girls that I expected. Despite this, there was a really great and exciting energy outside!
Our passes were for guests of BFC which got us access to the exhibition upstairs. This space was full of Ready-To-Wear items displayed on various rails and stands (which I think is the same area you can see if any of you went to the London Fashion Week Festival over this weekend). There was a tonne of stuff going on, rooms with jewellery in and hats, shoes, little coffee shops and coolers with free Evian water. We stayed for maybe a couple of hours or so looking at the clothes before heading off for lunch.
The space was really clean and minimal to allow the clothes to speak for themselves. The windows were covered in a kind of transparent but pearlescent sticker which matched the theme of the text on the handbooks. I don't want to bombard you with information but it was a really great experience, and if you can I recommend going to the London Week Fashion Festival to just get a taste of all that's going on.

The street style segment of fashion week is something I look forward to the most - maybe even more than seeing what designers are actually unveiling on the runway! I've been checking between Vogue, Hypebae, Elle, @vvaeske on Instagram and other online fashion sources, keeping my eyes peeled on what everyone has been rocking. I've collected a few personal favourites across all sites to bring you a taste of who I thought dressed the best!
Shopping list based off these images: a black beret, a full tracksuit, oversized denim jacket, did I already say beret (I need one), something camel coloured and a pair of statement boots

I’m slowly realising that all my clothes are actually the same - well not slowly realising I sort of knew that already, but it’s only becoming more apparent to me now haha. I put this outfit together based around my new Air Max 90s, so I was going for this kinda sporty spice / relaxed vibe. For me, they work better with leggings or joggers than they do with jeans, but that might be because i’m not used to wearing them yet!
These shoes also have taken no breaking in - following an afternoon of walking around London I had no complaints or blisters. My Vans have been ripping apart my feet and I haven’t worn them in ages, so i'm very glad to have these and my Air Force 1s.

Best places
Pizza Pilgrims (their salami pizza is the best!)
Sneakersnstuff (tried on a this WoodWood pullover and I'm obsessed)
Ace Hotel (£9 for a Jack Daniels and Coke ... but very nice place for a drink!)
Sans Pere
Labour and Wait (very nice tote bags)
Pam Pam in Bethnal Green (Em bought some lush Levi's)
Cafe in the Crypt @ Christ Church, Spitalfields
On Thursday I met up with Em (again) in Shoreditch (again). It's fast becoming one of my favourite places in London and we always seem to find ourselves going back to the same places. We had lunch at Pizza Pilgrims and omg guys, I swear by their salami pizza. It's literally just Neapolitan black pepper salami as a topping on a margherita - but it's so good. You can also get buffalo mozzarella with smoked tomatoes as a side and I highly recommend that too! I'm still finding my feet in London - and I get lost a lot - but the more I discover, all the small stores and coffee shops, the more I fall in love!

I actually tried a pair of 97s on two days ago at the Footlocker in Westfield Shepherds Bush and did. not. buy. them. I'm severely regretting that decision but I'm going to wait for payday to roll around and hopefully I can get a pair - provided they're still in stock! They weren't this exact colour way I don't think, I can't entirely remember but the ones I tried on were all black as well. Anyway, I'm currently in the process of rebuilding my shoe collection (if you can call it a collection) hence the influx of shoe related posts.
The comfort is actually unreal with these shoes and the look on foot is something I instantly liked. The triple black colour way is really clean and fitted in so nicely with what I was wearing that day. The shop assistant kindly put insoles in them for me to try which also really impacted on how the shoe felt on foot. I'm surprised by how much I liked these trainers and hopefully they're still in stock in a months time! Obviously you can see why i'm sad that I came away empty handed...

I've been a follower of Emily Oberg since her time at Complex, own the first issue of her Sporty & Rich publication and now i'm here as a fan girl for what she's doing in her creative role at Kith. What Oberg has brought to the women's side of the brand is so representative of her style, as well as reflecting how many women dress now too. The mix of cropped sweaters, leggings, puffer jackets and trainers is something I try and perfect within my own wardrobe, so it's really nice to see someone sharing their own styling tips on this!
That blue puffer jacket, the cropped yellow sweater and those cycling shorts! Also, the combo of wallabees with the cycling shorts and varsity jacket... i'm obsessed!
Hypebae - a great behind the scenes video with Oberg - so cool, this girl has my dream job I swear!
All images from Vogue but I picked out my favourite looks! What do you guys think?
