Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh

Sorry to bombard you guys with images of green, I think I took around 300 pictures whilst I was there but I know Milly took 10 times more! So, last Friday on my week off uni, my flatmate Milly and I walked over to the Royal Botanic Gardens. This is by far one of my favourite places in Edinburgh. I haven't been since the end of second year when Em came to stay, so I was super excited to go back. There is a botanic garden back home in Oxford but I much prefer this one! It's so beautiful, the main glasshouse was built in 1834 and is this incredible 19th Century building. I love how I feel like i'm being transported back in time when I step inside. It has high up walkways and concealed spiral staircases. The other parts were built much more recently. They collect a lot of condensation on the windows making Milly and I feel like we were in Jurassic Park. This place is legit. I always feel so inspired by the different shades of green and the huge range of plants!

^ inside the main glasshouse. It's only £4.50 to go round if you're a student - maybe £5.50 regular price? Anyway, it's so worth it. Plus the walk we took to get there was through Stockbridge which is another really nice area of Edinburgh. 100000% recommend.
