Figured I'd do some late night blogging seeing as i'm staying up around the clock at the moment anyway. I'm sat here with a bowl of Golden Nuggets; hands down the best cereal ever (only really in competition with Lucky Charms) and I'm watching the latest Supreme X The North Face drop covered by Unknown Vlogs. I'm also in the process of making a mood board to give me direction for this photoshoot i'm doing tomorrow. I did photography A-Level so fingers crossed I haven't forgotten anything! I'm super excited to get going with it and will hopefully share the process on here!
I also just saw this tote bag on Goodhood that I really want. Their bags are such good quality and so sturdy, I would highly recommend investing!

Disruptor 2 // Fila // $65.00
sold out in loads of places but I think they're still available at Schuh etc and obviously eBay and Depop
So i've seen these around a lot recently, especially on Instagram. I passed a girl in the street the other day wearing them which is pretty rare in Edinburgh. Hers had a more beige / orange gum sole which I think are from the collaboration that Onygo did with Fila (link). After wearing 95s for SO LONG I definitely prefer the chunkier look of shoes on my feet and of course I wanna get my hands on these. They come in black too which i'd usually go for, but I think this pure white colour way is really fresh and clean.
Back to work I go!

1. Design Agency visit with Warriors Studio in Glasgow
2. Different lift, same selfie + Toby
3. The studio was so great, I love it there
4. Edinburgh looking beaut
5. Dressed for summer as per
6. Picked up The Gentlewoman for research and it's honestly such a lovely publication
Ok wow, late night posting I apologise. I've been up working because I feel like I've finally got my ideas together. I've really u-turned on what I was doing before, not sure if that's a smart move but i'm making visuals that feel a bit more relevant to me.
I twisted weirdly at the gym earlier and i've really hurt my back. I'm now propped up in bed on two big pillows feeling sorry for myself! It has just been one of those weeks and i'm glad to see the end of it. Gonna try and get some sleep now and pray it has relaxed by morning.

Super quick post just as I write this before bed. My lower back is feeling a little sore but i've just come back from the gym. I've got to be careful sometimes to not push myself too hard or I really could do some damage. ANYWAY, so today we went through to meet with Warriors Studio again, I've posted about them before (read here) but this is our last meeting with them before we graduate. It has been such a pleasure working with them and they've honestly enhanced our agency experience so much this year. Definitely helps to have some ex-students talking you through everything!
I'm trying to watch Insurgent but our wifi is so temperamental at the moment. I ended up calling BT the other day to try and get to the bottom of it. I was on the phone for so long that the lady who was helping me (Liz was her name) wished me luck in my degree when our conversation was over.

Today I wore:
Uniqlo Slub Tee in Green (this is a medium but is a really good fit on me) / White Long Sleeve is most likely Primark / Levi's Jeans (no idea on the style as I got mine adjusted and the raw hems cut) / Air Max 95s are from eBay as you all know by now

(The internet at home is SO temperamental right now I'm gonna struggle to get this to post)
Finally getting around to sharing some snippets of what i've been working on for my degree show. I've spent days and days researching and changing what I wanted to do till I reached the conclusion of doing this. I've seen a lot of eighties revival stuff going on, especially in fashion. I've been attempting to bend my degree to fit into the fashion box which is a really key factor for me. Luckily enough, my uni have an archive of all the back issues of British Vogue - including the 1980s - so i've spent a long time glued to the large scanner in the library collating all my visuals. I'm setting some stuff up to be screen printed and i've also been forcing myself to use a graphics tablet to make these drawings. It has so far been quite a stressful process, but very rewarding. I'm such an illustrator that sometimes it can be hard not having a piece of paper in front of me to sketch ideas out, but this is really exciting. Plus I can't wait to see what it develops into.
Song of the day: still listening to Wolf Alice tbh
(Silk, Blush and White Leather are my personal favourites)
+ and of course i've been showing Drake's new mixtape a lot of love too

- View of the Shard from the Barbican when I was in London last week
- Starbucks always
- Tried on these killer boots in Topshop... they were in the sale and I didn't buy them (probably will be my life regret)
- Obligatory lift selfie
- Sunday morning agency discussions with Toby
- Finally some sunshine in Edinburgh!
So a week ago I was still down south and I can't believe where the week has gone. I only got back to Edinburgh on Wednesday and the time has flown by! I am absolutely shattered, I seem to be waking up at 8:30am on the dot..everyday. Why? I do not know. In need of some serious shut eye.

(and I want the platform Vans, Uniqlo Tee and the Joggers too)
Puffer Jacket - Urban Outfitters - £86 £60 on sale
I made this a slightly different want of the week as I actually decided to make a whole new look using this coat. I didn't like how they styled this puffer jacket on the Urban Outfitters website (just personal preference) so decided to show you guys how I would put a look together differently. I saw this coat yesterday when I was in the store in Edinburgh - at least i'm 99% sure it was this one. It has this holographic/ pearlescent quality which really sets it apart from the 3M and silver jackets i've seen on the market through Autumn and Winter.
Here is what I'd put it with:
Tee - Uniqlo - £9.90 / Joggers - Pull & Bear - £12.99
Bra - Urban Outfitters - £12 / Old Skool Platforms - Vans - £60
I know, I know, it looks the same as all the outfits I put together BUT I'm a big believer in being able to wear the same items of clothing, just in a range of textures and styles to keep it interesting. I've never owned jogging bottoms before really, but after my AA leggings went into a hole i've had my eye on this pair from Pull and Bear as a replacement. I've definitely seen a lot more people wearing joggers and I think they're the perfect casual piece for uni. I bought the tee from Uniqlo in London the other day but in green. The fit and quality is really 10/10 and i'd love to pick it up in a few other colours. The seamless bra I got yesterday when I was in Urban Outfitters as i've basically worn my current one down to the threads. The sizing I found weird as I have small boobs but ended up getting a M/L. Super comfy however, and I'm so glad to have a new bra! ALSO, did I overlook that Vans are now available with a platform sole or has that always been a thing? I'd switch out the laces but i'm obsessed!
And yes to the platform Vans Julia Roberts wears in Notting Hill.

Just a quick summary of the bits and bobs I got for my birthday this year after turning 22. Thank you to my parents and siblings for such a lovely weekend at home, i'm so grateful for everything ❤️
MAC Lip Scrubtious in Brown Sugar / Lush Ocean Salt
MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Rubenesque / MAC Strobe Cream
Urban Decay All Nighter Liquid Foundation Shade 1.5
Urban Decay All Nighter Liquid Foundation Shade 1.5
Urban Decay Sheer Shimmer Vice Lipstick in Ex-Girlfriend
GoldGetter Cropped Black Hoodie / Chanel Chance Perfume (smells amazing)
Capture Your Style by Aimee Song / The Million Dollar Blog by Natasha Courtenay-Smith
I also got some fluffy socks, new pens for uni and a stick of rock from when my parents went away to Lyme Regis, so cute! My brothers both got me giftcards too which was very sweet of them. I might do a review of a few of the products I got, especially the lipstick or the lip scrub. All the beauty items are so good. I was worried the Lush Ocean Salt would make me break out but it actually is what my skin needs!

I went into London to stay with Emily AGAIN. The weather in London is really starting to pick up and the evenings are beautiful. I had a root beer float from Shake Shack when we met up on Saturday and oh my god, I love coke floats but they use like this amazing ice cream at Shake Shack - life changing! Basically a meal within itself, I felt so sick afterwards! Yesterday we went to the Barbican Centre where I've never been before. Emily said she usually goes there to work and on the ground floor is a really cute little cafe. We ended up sitting in the window and were bombarded by the sun. It got so warm in the afternoon that at one point I was in just a t-shirt. I've eaten so much food over the weekend it has been amazing.
another day then back up to Scotland for the final push of the semester ahhhh

- Lift selfie + library books
- Trying to stay in bed
- The birthday cake my parents sent me at uni
- I have been gymming non stop at the moment
- French toast with bacon for breakfast in Oxford with my parents
- Possibly the best lemon meringue pie i've ever had
I've just found a hole in my beloved American Apparel leggings. Just when they've closed down/ gone bust/ been bought over/ no longer exist. Crisis. I wear these religiously. They are my go to fashion piece, like, genuine outfit staple - so if anyone knows where I can get a superrrr thick pair of leggings, please tell me! Anyway, i'm currently in London after travelling down from Edinburgh for the weekend. I've been home, seen my older brother and now I'm back in London staying with Emily for the night. Yesterday was my birthday and I had such a lovely day with my parents in town, and I have eaten so much food since coming home. I'm down south for a few more days so I have the opportunity to go to some galleries and start my independent project properly!
I also handed my dissertation in today! Can't believe it.
Lauren
Currently sat on the floor next to my printer reading through my dissertation for the millionth time. I'm turning 22 in a few days and have decided to go home. 22. What an odd age to be turning. I don't know... 17 you can drive, 18 you can drink, 21 is like being fully into your twenties but still feeling like a teenager, they're all exciting ages - obviously life doesn't just revolve around alcohol, but you know what I mean. They're milestone ages. I'm not saying that 22 isn't exciting, it is, i'm excited to be 22. I'm just not excited to get older. I don't want my family to get older. I think if I could pause time and have us all stay the same age and be in the same place, i'd do that.
My parents sent me a cake this morning which was really cute. It's from Mimi's bakehouse and was where I was going to get a cake from if I hadn't decided to go home. There's something about missing birthdays that I hate. I always feel like having a birthday at university gets in the way of everyone else's work. People have stuff they need to do. So back down south I go! My dissertation deadline is Monday and fingers crossed I can clear my head over the weekend to finish anything off that needs doing. I think i'm going to go grab a fork and sit here to eat the cake alone, it smells amazing!
A moment for reflection. I registered for my graduation the other day. Weird how fast time goes. I found a shirt in my wardrobe the other day that I bought in London when I had my Central Saint Martins interview. That feels like 5 minutes ago even though it was 3 years ago.
Okay gonna eat this cake.

Sandstone Hoodie // Saintwoods // $100 cad / £60
I feel like in the past few months i've become a huge fan of hoodies, coloured hoodies actually. I really wanted a bright orange one, you know how Hi-Vis orange is really in at the moment, or was in. I really wanted one of those, I just can't commit to such a radical colour addition to my wardrobe haha! What's even weirder is that I don't even own a black hoodie, I mean I have my boyfriend's old Nike hoodie but that doesn't count. It was like his all time favourite; it has holes on the cuffs and I have to roll up the sleeves because it's far too big for me. I came across Saintwoods maybe on Instagram? Maybe on HypeBae. Probably on Instagram. This is from their SW.003 Spring Collection and the colours are honestly beautiful. I'm all for muted tones, and this collection includes a kinda forest green oversized t-shirt that I love as well (link).

- Books to inspire me for my degree show, Perspex Group on Orange by Mary Martin is one of my favourite pieces i'm looking at right now --> Tate
- Recently started drinking these protein drinks after the gym because i'm finding it hard to always get the nutrition in that I need at uni!
- More library books
- MORE LIBRARY time with Milly
- I should make lift selfies a permanent thing on here with their own feature
- Toby's new Sk8-Hi's
Realised that all the photos are from university. I've literally been to the library everyday this week doing research and cramming my head full of ideas. I didn't go yesterday, in fact the only time I left home yesterday was to get a milkyway and a can of coke. Thought I needed a breather. It's going a well, I think, like I say however, I am my own worst critic. In a weeks time i'll be 22, a week yesterday, which is cool. The dissertation deadline is a few days after so hopefully I'll be able to go out for a few drinks and celebrate.
I need to sleep, I was in the library today scanning old issues of Vogue from the Eighties. Super cool visuals, was so exciting to look back at adverts and fashion from that era.
