Techfit Base Shorts // Adidas // £20
Just realised that my last want of the week was from Adidas too. My bad.
Just realised that my last want of the week was from Adidas too. My bad.
I think i've worn shorts to the gym once, and that was when my leggings were all in the wash. As it's starting to get warmer, and believe me my gym back home can get unbelievably hot in the summer, I think a pair of shorts would be perfect to train in.
Disseration / degree show work is calling.
Song of the day: 5AM - Amber Run

- Late night walk home from the gym, craving pizza!
- Usher Hall in all its glory
- Trying on some TNs at Footlocker
- Hot dog with BBQ sauce at Five Guys
- Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh
- Days at the studio this week
So this week I had a reading week, which meant that my university got pretty quiet pretty quick! The gym was really empty for a change and I've been going in the evenings to avoid the rush. I've actually trained every day this week which I don't tend to do. I try and take breaks every other day to give myself time to focus on uni work and go to any classes that I have. As this week we had nothing on, I ended up going a lot more. I'm still stressed, it's my last few months of university, but I feel a lot better at the same time. I've had a really good week too, and i'm so glad I got to go to Five Guys haha. I also went to the Royal Botanic Gardens on Friday and it's honestly one of my favourite spots in Edinburgh, so beautiful rain or shine.
Time to finish off my dissertation, only a little bit left!

I realise I haven''t made a 'personal post' in ages! I've been busy working on my dissertation (deadline is in just over 2 weeks) and my degree show work. My flatmate Milly and I needed materials that we couldn't get in the city centre, so got the bus out to Fort Kinnaird. It's like this shopping complex but outdoors? Really poor description, but that's what it is. I got a tonne of cool stuff from Hobbycraft, which i'm super excited to start using, and Milly picked up loads of stuff too. The main reason we went there was probably because of Five Guys as well. There isn't one in the city centre either! So this was the only way to get the Five Guys fix... apart from in Glasgow. Milly had a vanilla milkshake with coffee and I had a hot dog with bbq sauce. Literally my all time favourite. We caught the bus back into Edinburgh and got off just before Footlocker. It used to be further down Princes Street but a new one has recently opened near the Apple Store. I've been on the fence about TNs for a while so decided to try them on and see how they fit. I tried on this pair and too be honest, I definitely prefer the fit of my 95s on foot, and the overall look of them so did not make a purchase.
Then we went to Urban Outfitters haha
I've been hitting the gym almost everyday this week and i'm feeling 20,000 times better for it. I feel a lot calmer and together. I think I felt like I needed to go out drinking to relieve my stress, but i'm getting any tension I feel out my system at the gym.
Song of the day: Reminder - The Weeknd

Adidas Originals Equipment Half-Zip Jacket // Urban Outfitters // £75
I'm looking for a transitional jacket to wear now the weather is picking up. I say that as the wind is slamming against the windows here, and it's raining outside, and it's super cold. Despite this, it's actually getting just that bit too warm to wear my North Face jacket everyday. I was leaning towards a black denim jacket, but i've been there and done that when I was younger. When I was on my foundation course I was obsessed with neoprene and I remember seeing it around a lot. It has such a structured look which I really like. The pop of green on the zip is a nice touch and this is definitely the perfect piece to wear to the gym!
Song of the day: Loveblood - Sundara Karma
Lauren
- Steak dinner on Valentines Day cooked by my boyfriend
- Finally blue skies in Edinburgh!
- Lift selfie
- Instant noodles for lunch at uni in my Thermos
- Printing off the giant receipt from our Environmental Project
- Exhibition!
I'm so unwell. I have a fully blocked nose and the worst head cold ever! In need of some serious R & R. I've had a really good week though and it's so good to spend time at home with my flatmates... even if we all have colds! Last night when I couldn't sleep I watched the new Abstract series on Netflix about The Art of Design. I watched the first two, one was on Christoph Niemann and the second was on Tinker Hatfield. So good, I'm going to watch the one on Paula Scher later.
Song of the day: I Fall Apart - Post Malone

I've been trying to clean my room as all my stuff is everywhere, but I just poured squash down my leg and i'm wearing grey leggings. Not okay...
So, this week i've been working on an environmental project with everyone in graphic design at my university. All the year groups were split into teams, including MA students and a couple of people from illustration. My group were working on the theme of excessive consumption. Everyone was given a different topic and had to respond within the week to put on an exhibition by Friday (yesterday). Pretttttty groovy. We ended up printing this huge receipt with slogans and statements on. We went with a receipt as it's a document of how much we consume but something we often overlook. By making it on a huge scale, people can't avoid it. I'm so happy with the outcome and what we could achieve in a week!
I'm so exhausted, the past few days were so jam packed. I've bought myself marmalade as a treat though and i'm probably going to eat about 10 slices of toast today. I love marmalade.
Song of the day: Adele's cover of Fastlove by George Michael at the Grammys, honestly incredible. I have watched it like 15 times a day this week.

I think I've gotten into the the habit of collecting 'coffee table books'. You know those books you have in a pile in the living room that you flick through on a lazy day when it's raining. Yeah, i've started collecting books and publications like that. I have Cereal Magazine, Sporty and Rich, a lifetime's worth of Vogues, and a trillion books on fashion including Sophia Amoruso's Girl Boss. I love having inspirational books around to flick through, especially when I'm stuck for ideas. I'm a big reader but I'm also huge on glossy, well-made publications for inspiration. I love books that contain a lot of photos, and this one on showcasing your life and developing your Instagram is the perfect addition to my collection. Definitely got my eye on this!
Song of the day: Natalie - Milk & Bone
Lauren
- Inspirational messages found in a pile of unwanted work in the studio
- Going around Edinburgh looking for doughnuts
- Double Deckers are my absolute favourite!
- Standard selfie in the lift at uni
- Walking around after the gym
- Late night burger and chips
It is so unbelievably cold in Edinburgh at the minute, I don't think the end of my nose has had the chance to get warm yet. My desk is in front of my window and we don't have double glazing, so i've been wrapping myself in my duvet and working from bed.
I'm also watching Fantastic Mr Fox for the second time this weekend. Favourite film.

Nike Air Zoom Spiridon Ultra // Hanon // £95
Metallic Silver / Desert Red
I'm in loveeeeeeeeeeeee. As I've previously mentioned, I recently got my hands on a pair of Nike Air Zoom Spiridon Ultras. I was a little hesitant about these due to the price tag, but I had just been paid that Monday and thought wwwhhhyyy nottt. I got mine in a size 6 and it's such a comfortable fit. The shoe on foot has a kinda spongey feel which makes them so easy to wear from the get go. None of the faff when you have to wear them in. Due to the sizing I purchased, they aren't too tight or too loose, so i'm able to tie them up adequately without the laces flying everywhere! I've also already worn these out and about so I don't get too precious with them. They fit perfectly with my wardrobe, and I love the pop of red. I'm tempted to get some Ropes Laces just to switch the look up a bit but we'll see. I've been wearing mine with black leggings and a white long sleeve under a grey t-shirt.
I defo recommend picking up a pair of theseeeee! So comfy it's unreal.
Don't wear on rainy days! Unless you've sprayed them with a protector. I recommend spraying them with Jason Markk Repel Pump Spray.

Crystal Blue Vans Old Skools // Titolo // £68
As many of you may know, I love my Vans. I have always been a wearer of the shoe, and can remember the outlet store I used to go to with my family when I was a kid. Though back then I was definitely wearing the bigger skate shoes as opposed to the popular sk8 hi and old skools people are rocking now! Vans have recently released old skools in a baby blue / powdery blue shade with white details and they are beautiful. Blue is actually my favourite colour, and in homage to these new Vans i've pulled together a small outfit. It's nearly spring and as we lose the need to wear our big coats, (lets be real, I'll continue to wear my North Face jacket) a bright jumper will be a good wardrobe piece to have.

As you guys know by now, I live in monochrome. I make incredibly slight variations on the style of clothing I wear, but maintain the same colours throughout. I recently got the Yasmine co-ord from AM Loungewear (link) in black, which consists of highwaisted leggings and a roll neck cop top. The top has become a new favourite for me. I'm wearing it under sweatshirts and t-shirts for a different look and of course, added warmth. I swear i've seen that trend floating around currently of people wearing long sleeve tops under t-shirts again...? Irrelevant, anyway, I'm a sucker for all things simple and that fit with my wardrobe. I tweeted about the Lazy Oaf Basics range maybe a week or so ago? I'm in love with the oversized feel of their t-shirts. Perfect for lazy (lol) days when you want to be comfortable and stylish. The white fitted t-shirt with the high neck is super cute and would look perfect with a pair of jeans, a cord jacket, casual trainers and big sunglasses. I love how they've paired the outfits with sk8-hi's, as you guys know I love my Vans. Perfect pieces to layer and help transition the wardrobe into spring.

I have taken NO pictures this week. These photos are from the book 'A Typology of T-Shirts' by Susan Barnett. I've scanned them in for my current project which is going reallyyyy well.
I have so many word documents open right now I'm just gonna type straight onto here. I usually draft up what I wanna say and then copy and paste it in - I don't know why lol. Firstly, i apologise for my lack of interesting posts this week. I'm trying so hard to maintain consistent uploads, but you know when you just run out of hours in the day? That's what my life feels like right now. I've got masters on my mind, degree show, final major project, this project and dissertation all going on. I literally got to the library today when they were unlocking the doors, so I was the first one there. Unnecessarily keen but so worth it as I've finally made some decent points for my dissertation. I've been hitting the gym hard as a way to maintain my stress levels. I trained back yesterday and I wanted to go again today and do legs, but i'm feeling a little sore. I'll see how I feel later.
My Spiridons came on Friday and I'm so in love with them. They are better than I expected them to be and so unbelievably comfy. I love the 3M detailing, the red tick, and how they look on foot. It brings a nice change to my wardrobe of nearly all black shoes. I was wearing them today with a pair of leggings, my white Gildan hoodie and of course, my Nuptse. That level of comfort in the library was needed.
I also haven't instagrammed in days which is so unlike me. Failing across all fronts really. As for other aspects of my life, there is honestly nothing to say. I'm jealous of everyone who went to see or is going to see Drake. I had a burrito the other actually and it was so amazing. The first one this year. I've bought Lion Bar cereal which i've never tried before. My flatmates encouraged me to get it so I'll have to test that out soon.

Currently hit a wall with my dissertation. You know when it’s going really well and you’re making really good points, then suddenly, mind blank. I feel like i’ve been staring at it for hours. I’m trying to decide if it’s at the stage where I should leave it and have a look tomorrow. I think it’s too late to tackle but I might write another 500 words and leave it at that for now…
Exciting news, I bought the Spiridons from my last post. I was on the fence but then thought why notttttt?! They’re supposed to arrive tomorrow and I’m super excited. Hopefully I can get an outfit photo together for them; i’m planning to go down to London next month (maybe) so will get Emily to help me out haha. Other than that, i’m just working. We’ve been briefed about degree show and i’m so nervous, it’s all going to come at once and then be over. Such a weird feeling, I definitely don’t feel old enough to be graduating. The current brief ends next week and I will definitely photograph that too. I need to because I currently have nothing in my portfolio!
Also, why am I not at Drake? I'm heartbroken and jealous of everyone that is
