Christmas Wishlist

Saturday, 10 December 2016

It’s actually quite sad that my Christmas list has become less and less exciting as I’ve grown up. My imagination when I was a kid was probably a lot better than it is now. I remember asking for any Barbie related items, anything Cinderella-esk or Pocahontas inspired. Now I just want to be with my whole family. I think growing up you aren’t really aware that your siblings will one day go on and do other things. They won’t be in the room next door to ask questions and all those days you walked to school together feel like forever ago. That doesn't mean to say that i’m not close with my siblings at all, we talk all the time and being at home with my family is such an important thing to me. The distance is just hard YOU KNOW.

Ok so, what I really wanted to talk about is what I have my eyes on for the holiday season. I’ve been bitten by the gym bug, so there are few items that I want related to that. My apple earphones are broken (classic) so they need replacing and i’ve run out of mascara. When I say i’ve run out, I mean I think its just dried up. I had that one from Urban Decay, what’s it calleddd… Perversion! But  I think it’s totally dead. Annoying. It was super inky when I got it and smudged the whole TIME, so i’m going to ask for something from MAC instead. I also want a sherpa pull over - and maybe i’ll finally wear something cream. That’s not to say I don't own anything beige, but it might be the weather in Edinburgh that has pushed me into wearing black more.

I can see all the Christmas trees across the way in people’s flats and it’s making me miss home. The big sash windows here are the perfect frame for Christmas trees in my opinion. Is it bad that i’m slightly hung over and might go buy a McDonald’s? I’m also currently trying to sort out secret santa between my flatmates and I which is making me feel festive. We are going to have a Christmas meal together on Friday and it'll be our last one together. Doing things in Edinburgh for the last time feels like it has come around too quick.

Anyway long post of ranting, watching awful daytime TV feeling hungover and sorry myself needing a McDonald’s. What are you guys asking for for Christmas?

Song of the day: Simple - Katy Perry
(does anyone remember this GEM of a song though)
