OK so I know I said I was going to post about packing everything up etc etc etc, but then I took all my stuff from my flat to my boyfriend’s flat to stay with him for a few days, then literally emptied my suitcase at his, then had to repack it, then I was on the train for so long, then the train was reversing outside London, then my suitcase did that thing where you pull it over a curb and it flips over and you want to cry, then I was so gross from running across the city and all my clothes were all creased so I decided photographing that wasn’t a strong idea.
BUT i’m back..i’m home..I spent the day travelling the length of the country and now i’m back! I was in such a rush to get home (as my suitcase weighed a tonne) that I frantically got down onto the underground straight away and I didn’t appreciate how lovely the weather was and how much i’d missed London.
Fabulous.
To make up for the lack of photos about how much i managed to cram into my unnecessarily large suitcase, i’ll share some photos of my last few days in Scotland’s capital.
shout out to my friends for the dinner party / new Byron on Lothian Road / stir fry + sensations for dinner at my boyfriend's / smashed iPhone screen problems in Apple / the lady selling hot dogs on Princes Street is my favourite human / uni degree show vibes ~~~ / obviously my last meal in Edinburgh was Ting Thai

I've currently landed myself in a weird limbo phase between clinging onto university and needing to head home for summer to be fed / looked after / no longer be broke / recharge my batteries / connect with the rest of the world. I've reached this conclusion as i'm eating nutella on toast whilst cooking a potato waffle in the oven - i need an intervention.
I try and keep myself super motivated via pinterest which actually over summer becomes my main source of inspiration when i'm away from Edinburgh.
Over the next few days i'll be posting about the stuff i'm taking home and my travel plans so stay tuned!

Around this time of year I would usually already be back home down south (i'm the first to leave kinda girl) but I'm still up in Edinburgh. I don't mean that in a bad way - This week has been a lot of fun and I've had the chance to hang out with people instead of scooting home straight away! I'll cycle through the week and explain what i've been up to.
My flatmate and I went to try out the new frappuccino flavours at Starbucks (which apparently isn't a new flavour, I've just never clocked it before!) I've taken a huge step back from caffeine lately so I got the cream based s'mores frappuccino and it is incredibleeeeee. Perhaps not as marshmallow-y as I would've liked but then i'm a huge marshmallow lover!
I'm obsessed with bomber jackets - this is the Two-In-One Reversible Sateen Bomber Jacket from Topshop
We got our final year grades back this week so a couple of friends and I went to Indigo Yard for a few drinks. Such a lovely place and i'm so glad it's warm enough to sit outside! Also managed to squeeze in a few games of bowling (only a fiver for two games if you're a student). I came second in the first round and last in the second - how did I manage that??
The boys were craving burgers so we went to Bread Meats Bread which I think might be their favourite place!
My insanely talented flatmate had some of his work in the end of year ECA fashion show. I wish I had the opportunity to go last year (probably at home haha) so I was over the moon to go this year. It was so good, I do love fashion, everyone had worked incredibly hard and it all came together to make such a great show.
My boyfriend took me for lunch at Ting Thai which is one of my favourite spots in Edinburgh. It's close enough to university to be in range of the wifi too!
Sorry for the ultra long post but wanted to update you all!

A friend of mine in Edinburgh had her friend staying over the weekend. As she had driven up from her home we were able to go out for the day and have a little road trip! We were so excited because virtually everywhere in Edinburgh we walk, so it was such a treat to drive somewhere new. We didn't know where to go but ended up at Cramond Beach which is about a 20 minute drive outside Edinburgh. The tide was out which meant we could walk along the causeway to the small island. The weather was so warm, far warmer than in the city centre. I've only visited Portobello Beach and I love being at the seaside so this was really lovely. There is a small pub with outdoor seating and a few of my friends had drinks.
(I also seem to be going through a strange obsession with peanut butter lately - before I hated it but I cannot get enough of these Reese's bars)
it was just such a lovely day

Spent the last few days trying to make the most of the sunny weather in Edinburgh, which actually now looking out my window appears to have ended. Tickets went on sale for the last art party of the year, which meant all my friends were in the same place at the same time, SO we decided to go wander around as the weather was still holding up.
(I had to go home and nap after which probably shows my current fitness level)
We went to The Fruitmarket Gallery (first photo)
who currently have an exhibition on by Sara Barker which is really
lovely and I highly recommend
The Starbucks on the Royal Mile were giving out free little shots of caramel frappucinos! Sometimes I find these to be so sickly so actually this little cup was the perfect size.
We also went to the National Museum of Scotland on Chambers Street.
I don't think I've ever really been round it properly
(apart from maybe a year ago with my friend Emily)
but the space is really big and open
Finally, I feel like I see everyone wearing vans old skool's at the moment! Mine are 3 years old and falling apart (and looking super rough) but I just got some new laces which has kind of given them a second life. I can't ever stand still for photos but here's a run through of what I was wearing

(Trust me to have no pictures of the hotel or Five Guys or really any of Glasgow)
So on Sunday my boyfriend and I travelled through to Glasgow to see Yung Lean at the Art School. This was a much anticipated event for both of us, and as we were staying the night in Glasgow afterwards we were doubly excited. It was my boyfriend who actually introduced me to Yung Lean and it's such addictive music. The weather stayed so lush for us and it was just so nice to have a mini break away from Edinburgh for one night.
We stayed the night at Z Hotel which is about 3 minutes from Glasgow Queen Street station. It was so convenient and the room was a perfect size for the two of us.
this link will give you a better look at the rooms
We went to Five Guys for dinner which is becoming a bit of a ritual. We even once got the bus to the outskirts of Edinburgh just for a Five Guys... The concert was so good. I haven't been to one in years and I forgot what it's like to be at one! It didn't go on till too late so we had time to grab some snacks on the way home and watch a movie in bed.
I had such a lovely time I wish I could relive it everyday!

As a belated 21st birthday present, my flatmates booked me in to have my nails redone at ooh laa laa beauty. I was obsessed with the ones I had done about a month ago so was over the moon to go back. I got these slightly shorter in a soft pink colour and of course, I'm in love. The pictures make them seem like a more creamy/ beige but they are actually just a very subtle pink. In the run up to hand in I sliced down the side of my finger (on my left hand) super close to the nail so I was a little worried I wouldn't be able to get them done. Accident prone me. I've been a little under the weather these past few days so it was really nice to get acrylics as a little treat.
Couldn't recommend ooh laa laa nails enough. I'm going to have to keep going back!

Apologies for being m.i.a for the past few days. I had my final hand in and I'm officially done! A lot of people my age are graduating this year, but in Edinburgh it's a four year degree so i've still got one more year to go. This is definitely just extra time for me to procrastinate about my life.
I have been working tirelessly for this deadline, so now it has passed I feel like a bit of a lost animal. I only seem to want to watch Netflix when I have 14 other things I should be doing, and now i'm done for the year I just don't know what to do with myself. I'm currently helping with the degree show but when that's over, i'll head down south and assume my position on the sofa to watch Geordie Shore from the beginning.
