So I figured after watching 14 hours of House on Netflix today I needed to stop and go into the kitchen and speak to people. (This is an over exaggeration, mum if you're reading this I have eaten today). It's quite late on a Saturday night and being the stereotypical student I am, i'm home making pancakes.
Anyway, the recipe is based on what mum taught me when I was younger:
100g plain flour
2 eggs
and like literally, how much milk you want till it resembles something like a thick soup
and a pinch of salt
mum tip: cooking the pancake in oil and butter makes for a crispier pancake <3
You wanna put some oil in a frying pan and set it to a high heat. I can't really explain this bit but you'll know when it's right to put the batter in. Pancake intuition. I don't know how to flip pancakes either so I just use a spatula, that's how you know what size to make the pancake. Just pour it out so there is enough to flip. Keep checking the bottom so it doesn't burn, the first one is tricky because the pan sometimes isn't totally super hot.
This should make about 3 pancakes for you which is a good amount if you're just eating alone. I know everyone goes for Nutella but you can't beat Lyle's Golden Syrup in my opinion. So good. I would pour it over most of my food. SO GOOD.
