As someone who wears very little colour, it's always nice to see a celebrity who also has an almost monochrome palette for their wardrobe too. That being said, she does have a lot of outfits that involve brighter and bolder shades. I've just gone out of my way to highlight her outfits that I would personally love to slouch in at university, radiating sophistication. Instead of defaulting to my usual black jumper and jeans because i've spilt coffee down myself.
I think it was her black Givenchy Antigona that drew me in and since then i've been trapped. I love her effortless, laid back style. I find that wearing tight jeans and trainers with a big t-shirt or jumper is the best way to mix comfort with style. The addition of the coveted Givenchy bag pulls the outfit together to give a less boyish, chic look. I lovvveeeeeee it. She is also wearing the oatmeal on oatmeal on oatmeal Rihanna x Puma creepers (photo 2) which I've accepted i'm never going to get my hands on. So i'm just going to admire her wearing them till I finally get a pair in 3 years time behind the trend.

Obviously I have been meaning to write a lot more frequently on here, but I guess laziness and procrastination kicked in. Not that I've been drowning in work, but sometimes the thought of sitting down and trying to produce something from nothing can be a little daunting. I took the morning off and figured i'd feel better if I thought about stuff in bed for a bit - and too be honest, it worked.
I walked to my lecture this afternoon feeling better about things. Maybe that part of me that I have been so desperate to get back, is finally heading home.
Funny that.

We only had an early briefing this morning, featuring the handout of our heavily colour coded A3 timetables. There are gaps that appear to highlight areas of free time but I guarantee once we're all settled back in, the days of watching Netflix for hours in bed will seem like a distant memory.
I ran to the small panini shop across the street, collecting my usual of a classic Italian toasted sandwich. I spent my lunch time catching up with a good friend from Liverpool, umming and ahhhing about whether or not this year was going to be a catastrophe. It's not, i'm going to make sure it's not, i'm making a conscious effort to make sure it's a good one.
I would be a fool to not be in love with this city and the opportunities it's going to give me.

This is all going to begin very generically.
Like many other people, I have intended to do this for what seems like forever. Not because I believe I have something especially interesting to say or an extravagant story that needs sharing, but more perhaps because I need to create something that is entirely mine. After a strange semester at university, I've reached the conclusion that I don't do enough things that I'm passion about - which is in fact rather sad. Therefor, I want to use this blog as a means to push me to get out there, you know, document what's around me, live life, be young.
It's all about finding that balance.
So, following on from that, I'm Lauren. I'm a design student and this is my edit.
(p.s. Those aren't my feet, those are Emily's feet. I do however, have those shoes but that's pretty irrelevant I apologise)
